It is meandering along the Douro that we begin a journey rich in landscapes, flavours, and remarkable sensory experiences. From Portugal to Spain, we will climb to viewpoints, play golf on award-winning courses, walk the Camino de Santiago and refine our palate in Michelin restaurants. All this, without forgetting to dance to the rhythm of flamenco. Would you care to join us?

Let's start with Portugal, a perfect destination in all seasons, just a few hours from European capitals.

Taking a cruise along the Douro River
It's gazing upon the landscape, dotted with Douro farms in the Alto Douro Wine Region, that we start our boat trip. Among the vine terraces winding along the river, we feel beyond time, in a relaxing experience between Oporto and Pinhão. The regional flavors stand out, and each moment deserves to be captured by a camera. Here, we close our eyes, take a deep breath and feel a soft breeze on our faces. Better is impossible unless we celebrate the trip with a glass of Tawny or Ruby Port. Find out more here.

Climb to the Lisbon viewpoints
Lisbon's seven hills invite us to a mandatory visit. Whether it's a walk along the typical Portuguese cobblestones or aboard the famous tram which delights Lisboners and tourists alike, climbing up to the viewpoints is one of the best experiences in the city. From the Basílica da Estrela to São Jorge Castle, passing by São Pedro de Alcântara or the 'Miradouro da Graça', having Lisbon at your feet makes you feel on top of the world. Find out more here.

Golf in the Algarve
Attracting thousands of tourists every year, the Algarve has some of the best golf resorts in Portugal. Considered by Golf World as one of the 100 best European golf resorts, Amendoeira Golf Resort is a top choice for all those looking for a golf break in Portugal. This resort in the Algarve has the award-winning Faldo Course, which won, in 2016, the title of Best Golf Course in Portugal. At the Academy course, we can play on the only floodlit 9-hole golf course in Portugal. For a completely different challenge, we suggest the O'Connor Jnr. Course. The Golf Academy is perfect for those who want to improve their game or to start a new passion.

From Galicia to Andalusia, passing through the Basque Country, we went in search of 3 unmissable tourism experiences to accomplish on your next trip to Spain.

Walking the Ways of Santiago de Compostela, Galicia

Every year, more than 300,000 people walk along this pilgrimage route, the oldest in Europe. There are many ways of getting to Galicia and experiencing the Camino, whether on foot, by bike, or horse riding. The tradition dates back to the Middle Ages when pilgrims went to Santiago de Compostela to venerate the relics of the apostle Santiago. Since then, each step continues to be more than a journey, a moment of reflection and constant self-improvement. To travel this route is to feel that "happiness is not at the destination but on the journey." Click here to find out more.

Sharpen your senses in the capital of Spanish gastronomy, San Sebastián (Basque Country)
Pristine beaches, avenues lined with Belle Époque buildings, and an extraordinary collection of Michelin-starred restaurants. We have arrived in San Sebastian, the Cantabrian Pearl, and a true paradise for food lovers. This city is acclaimed for its refined and innovative cuisine. Here, we find at least 3 restaurants with 3 Michelin stars each. From Arzak (by Chef Juan Mari Arzak and his daughter Elena Arzak Espina) to Akelarre (by Chef Pedro Subijana), we are welcomed with delicacies such as foie gras and poached eggs. Not forgetting a carefully selected wine list that surprises us. The view leaves us speechless… Find out more here.

Enjoy flamenco shows, Seville
Going to Seville and not attending a flamenco show is not making the most of this destination. Here, we are inspired by the dance, the poetry, the feeling. Also known as "cante jondo" and declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO, flamenco is an art that is difficult to explain but easy to admire. With numerous stages dotted around the city, the challenge will be to choose just one. Triana or El Palacio Andaluz are possibilities to consider, one thing being certain: the promise of moments filled with magic and emotion! Find out more here.

Now that we have explored some landscapes, flavours, and experiences in Portugal and Spain, we feel like travelling on. Join us to discover our next destination!
