The Sports Club

The Amendoeira Sports Club offers a full range of sporting facilities, all finished to the highest specification to meet professional standards.

For owners and guests staying at Amendoeira Golf Resort, the Amendoeira Sports Club has a wide range of sporting facilities which are free of charge:

Two Astroturf five-a-side football pitches (made to FIFA standards) of 26m x 48m
A natural grass field of 90m x 120m, with removable beacons (only available for professional teams)
Six Savannah tennis courts
Fully equipped Technogym gymnasium, with spacious changing rooms for women and men
Children's playground
1km jogging path

Here you can also find a Sports Bar with three 42” plasma TVs showing the main sports channels. The area can also be used as a meeting facility for up to 40 delegates and the outdoor terrace area is suitable for events with up to 80 guests.

The Algarve's year-long warm climate makes Amendoeira Sports Club the ideal location to practise and improve your game.

The Amendoeira Sports Club has training facilities for professional soccer and gaelic football/hurling teams. Our experienced team organizes training packages tailored to the group's needs or team specifications, thus offering tailor-made personalized service by combining work schedules with luxury accommodation, special nutritional needs, friendly matches and more.

Tennis and five-a-side football pitches

The Algarve's year-long warm climate makes Amendoeira Sports Club the ideal location to train and improve your game. Amendoeira Golf Resort offers Two Astroturf five-a-side football pitches (made to FIFA standards) of 26m x 48m as well as six Savannah tennis courts.

NOTE: The full size football pitch is reserved for professional team training. The gymnasium is not available to outside guests for legal reasons.

Football Academy

Amendoeira Sports Club presents our Football Camps in Partnership with Football Escapes. This is your opportunity to combine your holiday at Amendoeira Golf Resort with a daily football activity for your children, with some true legends of the game.

Open to all children aged 5-15, the courses are led by ex-professional players, like Rio Ferdinand, Teddy Sheringham, Bobby Zamora and more!

The Legends are supported by a great team of UEFA licensed coaches, all of whom come from renowned English Premier League clubs.

The courses are run for a week at a time (Monday-Friday) at the Amendoeira Sports Club and offer two hours of daily football activity in the morning from 10am - 12 noon, giving plenty of time in the afternoon for the family to enjoy everything else that Amendoeira and the Algarve has to offer.

The Amendoeira Sports Club offers a full range of sporting facilities, all finished to the highest specification to meet professional standards and set in the private and secure environment of the beautiful Amendoeira Golf Resort.

The courses are perfect for those football loving kids, giving them a fantastic opportunity to learn from some of the Legends of the game, and will give them memories and knowledge that they will hold dear to their hearts for a lifetime.

The courses at Amendoeira Sports Club will be held during the school holidays, and can be combined with all our accommodation offers, as well as other fantastic activities for kids including Golf School, Kids Club, Reptile & Tropical Bird Shows, and much more.

These courses are new to Amendoeira Golf Resort in 2018 with its first course being held from the 6th – 10th August, in celebration of this new offer we are able to offer a special introductory rate of £200 per child, as opposed to £500.

Each child that enrols on the course is provided with a full kit including; a shirt, shorts and socks, as well as a signed certificate and medal on completion of the week's course.

Gym

Keep in shape in the gym, equipped with Technogym equipment, a selection of free weights: dumbells from 1Kg to 28Kg and barbells with a choice of Salter bar, zig zag, straight and Olympic bars.

Male and Female changing rooms with lockers and showers available.

Everyday: 7am-8pm
